Job summary

Sanmina in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, implement and optimize automated equipment and processes across production lines.

You will analyze failures, prepare cost studies, and manage projects from design to implementation, with preference for candidates experienced in robotics, AI/ML and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic engineering.
• Experience with equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of robotics, AI and machine learning is an advantage.
• SolidWorks and basic programming knowledge are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Explore and implement new technology, equipment or system to automate manual processes
• Design and testing of new equipment and processes
• Attend, sustain and improve production related automation issues
• Analyze process automation failures and define improvement activities
• Prepare cost, feasibility studies and justification for new project capital appropriations
• Manage full automation project from design to implementation

• -Explore and implement new technology, equipment or system to automate manual processes
• To design and testing new equipment and processes
• To attend, sustain and improve production related automation issues
• To analyze process automation failures/problem and define improvement activities
• To prepare cost, feasibility study and justification for new project capital appropriator request project budget.
• To manage whole automation project start from design to implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Mechatronic or similar field (Diploma of Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic with working relevant working experience can be considered)
• Minimum knowledge on Equipment Maintenance
• Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning is an advantage
• Basic understanding of Solid Works is an advantage
• Basic understanding of General purpose programming language is an advantage
