Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Basic troubleshooting ability.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance (PM/TPM) to keep machines operating smoothly.
  • Support RTPS during line breakdowns and assist cross-functional teams in executing recovery strategies.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory, track usage, and report obsolescence issues.
  • Perform tool setup, testing, and component characterization for NPI and validation trials.
  • Update and maintain SOPs, safety protocols, and tooling records.
  • Participate in 8D problem-solving teams for quality issues and implement CAPAs.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency to reduce downtime and scrap.
  • Assist senior engineers with status reports and support external audits.

Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment

The Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment plays a vital hands-on role in supporting manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing production equipment. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, you will execute routine maintenance, assist with equipment qualifications, support tool deployment, and contribute to process improvement programs aimed at optimizing yield and line efficiency while ensuring a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance (PM/TPM) to keep machines operating smoothly and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Support Real-Time Problem Solving (RTPS) during line breakdowns and assist cross-functional teams in executing recovery strategies to manage line backlogs
  • Assist in monitoring the Repair & Maintenance (R&M) budget by tracking spare parts inventory, monitoring component usage, and reporting obsolescence issues
  • Perform tool setup, testing, and component characterization to support New Product Introductions (NPI) and material validation trials
  • Update and maintain engineering documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and tooling records
  • Participate in 8D problem-solving teams for quality issues, assist with root-cause analysis, and help implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) following internal quality audits
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, contributing to projects aimed at reducing downtime, improving yields, and minimizing scrap/waste
  • Assist senior engineers with preparing status reports, test summaries, and customer service updates. Support team preparations for external customer audits (including Gap Assessments, CMQS, and PCL1/PCL2 reviews)
About you
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on technical or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics or high-volume manufacturing preferred)
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience will also be considered
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on technical experience)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems
  • Basic troubleshooting ability
  • Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional manufacturing teams
