Primary functions are to develop cost models & simulate manufacturing should-cost and perform supply-market intelligence analytics, to provide value-add solutions in strategic cost management.**Responsibilities:*** Simulate should-cost of manufactured parts/assemblies to enable cost savings/optimization initiatives and sourcing strategies.* Apply cost analysis to identify gaps/opportunities and propose solutions to drive cost negotiation & cost optimization.* Develop and deploy cost modeling tools on manufacturing process for a range of categories/commodities.* Conduct supply-market data research to provide market intelligence/insights to support Procurement strategies & competitive advantage.* Harness supply-market intelligence and cost data to run analytics on price trend & cost impact, generating actionable insights for proactive actions/forward-looking strategic planning.* Collaborate with Category Management in tactical negotiations & strategies, and with R&D/Manufacturing/Suppliers in VAVE/NPI/DFX in design & process cost optimization.* Categories/Commodities in-scope: Machined components, Sheet metal, Plastic molding, Flow components, Optical parts, Laboratory Glassware and Consumables.## ## **Qualifications*** Bachelors Degree or above in Engineering or equivalent.* Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following fields - Manufacturing engineer, Costing engineer, Procurement/Material engineer, Supplier development engineer, Design engineer, Supply-market/Business intelligence analyst.* Technical background/expertise in manufacturing process & technology and good understanding on the cost profile/structure in at least one or more of the categories/commodities: Machined components, Sheet metal, Plastic molding, Flow components, Optical parts, Laboratory Glassware and Consumables.* Experience in CAD software.* Effective MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).* Statistical, Data analytics and Digitalization skills are a plus.**Additional Details**This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
