Job summary

Agilent Technologies, Inc. in Penang, Malaysia is hiring a Manufacturing Cost Modeling Engineer to develop and simulate should-cost models for parts and assemblies. You will analyze costs to identify savings and optimization opportunities, and build cost modeling tools for multiple manufacturing categories.

The role requires CAD experience, strong data analytics, and collaboration with procurement, R&D, and suppliers to drive VAVE/NPI cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or above in Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years in Manufacturing engineering, Costing, Procurement, Supplier development, Design, or BI.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Proficient MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Data analytics and digitalization skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Simulate should-cost of manufactured parts/assemblies to enable cost savings and sourcing strategies.
• Apply cost analysis to identify gaps and propose optimization solutions.
• Develop and deploy cost modeling tools for various manufacturing categories.
• Conduct supply-market research to support procurement strategies.
• Collaborate with Category Management and R&D/Manufacturing/Suppliers in cost optimization.
