Job summary

Verinon Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manual Tester with 3–6 years of software testing experience to join our QA team for banking/financial services applications. The role focuses on testing banking applications, identifying defects, and ensuring release quality.

You will analyze requirements, develop test scenarios, perform SIT/UAT support, log defects with JIRA/HP ALM, and work with developers and analysts to close issues within timelines.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in software testing.

• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with SIT, UAT, Functional and Regression Testing.
• Good knowledge of defect management and test case management.
• Experience with JIRA, HP ALM, or similar testing tools.
• ISTQB certification is an advantage.

We are looking for a Manual Tester with experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain to join our QA team. The candidate will be responsible for testing banking applications, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality of software releases.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.

Perform Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and UAT support.

Execute test cases and document test results.

Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.

Perform end-to-end testing of banking applications and transactions.

Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve defects.

Requirements

3–6 years of experience in software testing.

Strong experience in Manual Testing.

Previous experience in the Banking / Financial Services domain is preferred/required.

Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.

Experience in SIT, UAT, Functional and Regression Testing.

Good knowledge of defect management and test case management.

Experience with JIRA, HP ALM, or similar testing tools.

Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.

Good to Have

Knowledge of API testing using Postman.

Basic SQL knowledge.

Experience with Core Banking, Cards, Payments, Loans, or Digital Banking applications.

ISTQB certification is an advantage.
