Job summary

Tentacle Technologies in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manual & Automation Tester to join our on-site QA team. You will test mobile banking apps and internet banking portals, blending traditional testing with AI-powered techniques to boost test coverage and accelerate releases.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of software testing experience, hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium, and a good grasp of API testing, SDLC/STLC, and Agile.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with strong manual and automation testing skills.
• Experience testing mobile applications and web portals.
• Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Interest in or experience with AI-based testing tools such as AI test-case generation or AI-assisted test analysis.
• Good understanding of API testing, SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect management.
• Banking or financial application testing experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automation testing for mobile banking apps and web-based internet banking portals
• Create and execute test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing
• Use AI-powered testing tools to generate test cases, identify scenarios, analyze failures, and improve coverage
• Test core banking functionalities such as login, authentication, fund transfers, and account services
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, UI, and end-to-end testing
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira

The Role
