Job summary

Verinon Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manual Tester with 3–6 years of software testing experience to join our QA team for banking/financial services applications. The role focuses on testing banking applications, identifying defects, and ensuring release quality.

You will analyze requirements, develop test scenarios, perform SIT/UAT support, log defects with JIRA/HP ALM, and work with developers and analysts to close issues within timelines.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing.
• Experience in Banking / Financial Services domain is preferred/required.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with SIT, UAT, Functional and Regression Testing.
• Good knowledge of defect management and test case management.
• Experience with JIRA, HP ALM, or similar testing tools.
• ISTQB certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and UAT support.
• Execute test cases and document test results.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
• Perform end-to-end testing of banking applications and transactions.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve defects.
• Prepare daily/weekly testing status reports.
• Support defect triage and ensure defects are closed within agreed timelines.
• Participate in test planning, execution, and release activities.
• Ensure testing activities follow defined quality standards and processes.
