Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Functional QA Tester with 4+ years of experience, preferably in the banking domain. The role involves testing applications, validating business requirements, and ensuring smooth system functionality.

You will be responsible for creating test cases, executing functional and system tests, and collaborating with developers, BA, and QA peers to support successful releases in an office-based environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual/functional testing.
• Basic understanding of banking applications (payments, accounts, etc.).
• Familiarity with SDLC/STLC.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and prepare test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional and system testing on applications.
• Execute test cases and report defects in a timely manner.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA team members.
• Support UAT testing and help ensure successful releases.
• Validate data using basic SQL queries (where required).
• Maintain test documentation and reports.
