Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking an experienced Functional Tester in Kuala Lumpur to join a banking-focused project on-site. You will craft test scripts, execute tests, and ensure quality for Internet Banking and related banking applications.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years in testing, a Diploma in CS/IT, and strong knowledge of banking systems. Familiarity with Agile testing and DevOps is valued, along with attention to detail and good communication.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of testing experience, ideally within the banking sector.
• Diploma in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• Strong knowledge of banking applications, particularly Internet Banking.
• Familiarity with Agile testing and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and follow detailed test scripts and defect tracking.
• Good communication skills, email etiquette, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance, and technical architecture tests.
• Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
• Execute test scripts and record problems and issues in line with project problem and issue management plans.
• Collaborate with the application team to resolve issues arising from the testing process.
• Participate in the release control process to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Validate product fixes and inform the test lead/manager of any issues affecting schedule, budget, or quality.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Functional Tester to join a dynamic project within the banking sector, working on-site in Kuala Lumpur. This is a great opportunity for a testing professional with strong banking domain knowledge to contribute to high-impact projects, ensuring quality and reliability across critical applications.

What You'll Do
