Job summary

SINOHYDRO CORPORATION (M) SDN BHD – Kota Kinabalu is inviting a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our Sabah-based team. You will handle progress claims, cost estimation, BOQ, tendering, and contract administration in a client-driven environment.

We seek Mandarin-speaking candidates with 1–3 years in construction, proficient in Excel and QS software, capable of coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / related field.
• 1–3 years in the construction industry.
• Familiar with measurement, cost estimation, BOQ, tendering, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of PAM, JKR, CIDB standard forms is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic QS software.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Registered with Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate progress claims submitted by Subcontractors and prepare payment certificates.
• Prepare work progress claims to Client/Consultants and reconcile with approved progress payment certificates.
• Review drawings and take off quantities / work measurement.
• Prepare program of works, physical and financial S-Curve, monthly progress report, etc.
• Compile Variation Claims supporting evidence documents.
• Coordinate and liaise with Client, Consultant, Subcontractors and local authorities if any.
