Job summary

Pekat E&LP Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring competitiveness while meeting standards. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

You will liaise with the Design Department, prepare BOQ and quotations, estimate costs for tenders, and verify BOM accuracy. Strong communication, Excel/Word, and independent multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; Mandarin proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Design Department.
• Analyse and verify Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quotations.
• Prepare costing and fill up for tenders documents on commercial related.
• Prepare costing and quotation for project based on bill of materials and new project requirements.
• Check items on BOM to ensure quantity is correct.
• Revise cost and quotation if/when required.
• Liaise technical matters with suppliers.
• Request Tender Bond and purchase of tender documents.
