Job summary

BWYS Group in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Material and Production Planning Executive (Mandarin Speaker). You will develop and maintain material plans based on production schedules, sales forecasts and inventory levels to ensure materials are available on time and prevent production delays.

You will coordinate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality and Engineering to maintain smooth production flow, issue production work orders, and adjust plans as priorities and capacity

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Material Planning: Develop and maintain material plans based on production schedules, sales forecasts and inventory levels to ensure materials are available on time and prevent production delays.
• Production Scheduling: Prepare and issue production work orders, and develop daily, weekly and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts and production capacity.
• Production Monitoring: Monitor production progress and performance against planned schedules. Adjust production plans to accommodate changes in priorities, machine availability and customer requirements.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality and Engineering departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely material supply.
• Production Support: Coordinate material requirements with production and engineering teams, and resolve material or scheduling issues to minimise production disruptions.
• Planning & Improvement: Identify potential material shortages, production bottlenecks and scheduling issues, and take appropriate action to improve planning efficiency.
• Compliance: Ensure all material planning, production scheduling and inventory activities comply with company policies, procedures and relevant industry requirements.
