Job summary

Translation and Interpretation Services Company is seeking an Interpreter for 100% work-from-home in Malaysia. The role involves consecutive interpretation for doctor-patient, banker-client, and similar conversations in Mandarin-English-Mandarin, with night shifts that rotate monthly.

Shifts are 8 hours online per session, totaling a minimum 40 hours per week. Basic package ranges from RM5,700 to RM6,500 monthly, reflecting a permanent work-from-home arrangement.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client B2.
• CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate.
• Handling telephone or video calls on demand and renders meaning of conversations in consecutive interpretation.
• Processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences, and is always professional and courteous.
• The interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices across Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

Location: Work From Home (Based in Malaysia)

Job Scope: Consecutive interpretation- Live conversation Doctor & Patient, Banker and client etc...

Working Hours: 100% night shift that changes monthly. Entry points can be any hour from 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am etc. (8 hours online per shift, 40 hours online per week MINIMUM)

Salary: Basic package up to RM5700 - RM6500
