Xtep in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned Retail Operations Manager to drive the department’s annual sales targets, business plans, and regional store targets. You will monitor store performance, coordinate with Finance on inventory, and oversee promotions to grow brand presence.
You will lead a team, manage the department budget, train staff, and analyze sales data to deliver actionable insights for management decisions and store optimisation.

To set the Retail Operations Department’s annual sales targets and business plans.
To set sales targets by region and store.
Follow up on store performance and target achievement.
Provide recommendations for future product purchasing and ordering.
To set the Retail Operations Department’s annual sales targets and business plans.
Take overall responsibility for retail sales and business performance.
Manage key results such as sales, profit margin, and product sell-through rate.
Improve store performance through staff training, better customer service, inventory management, and store display standards.
Monitor daily store operations and ensure sales data is reported accurately and on time.
Work with Finance on inventory.
Follow up on payments from shopping malls.
Review & Control store expenses and costs.
Visiting stores during / off working hours.
Regularly review sales and business performance.
Monitor market trends and competitors.
Prepare business reports and identify problems.
Recommend and implement improvements to support management decisions.
To plan and manage major sales promotions and brand campaigns.
Ensure promotional activities are properly carried out in stores.
Develop new business opportunities such as group purchases and key customers.
Look for new store locations and business opportunities.
Coordinate store opening, relocation, or closure activities when required.
Manage the Retail Operations Department team and organize regular team meetings.
Manage & control the department budget.
Organize staff training and evaluate training results.
Manage employee performance, rewards, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
Develop and build a strong team culture.
Handle and report any emergency issues or problems at stores.
Work closely with shopping malls and other internal departments.
Coordinate with the Product/Merchandising team on product allocation and inventory.
Ensure stores follow display and merchandising standards.
Maintain a clean and attractive shopping environment.
Complete other tasks assigned by management.

Diploma or above. A degree/diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
At least 5 years of retail experience, with at least 2 years in a retail management role.
Experience managing fashion, apparel, or sports brands is preferred.
Good knowledge of retail store operations and management.
Good skills in sales, marketing, negotiation, and staff training.
Strong ability to understand and analyze sales data.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Able to prepare sales reports and business analysis reports independently.
Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Target-driven and able to work under pressure.
Good at managing teams and developing employees.
Proficient in speaking and reading Mandarin, as the role requires regular communication and coordination with the China team
