Malaysia Airports Berhad seeks an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives from initiation through closure, ensuring scope, timeline, quality and budget alignment. Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or IT-related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus.
• PMBOK knowledge and project management framework familiarity preferred.
• Relevant project management certifications are advantageous.

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Effectively manage IT projects in alignment with established procedures and governance frameworks, overseeing all phases from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure—ensuring delivery within defined scope, timeline, quality, and budget parameters while maintaining product excellence and achieving business objectives and value.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Responsible to ensure all approved IT projects are completed as per business needs as per agreed cost, time, quality of work and resources.
• Develop and maintain the project management plan, resource management plan and all other related plans which comply with the company policy and procedures.
• Well preparation of project documentations, reports, presentation, communication and timely submission of progress update and reporting to the management.
• Effective project risk and issue management.
• Develops, organised and lead the communication plan to ensure stakeholders collaborate with the latest project updates and progress promptly.
• Ensure project change must comply with the Change Management process and procedures.
• Verifies project financial, budget and payment are within the agreed contractual terms.
• Provide guidelines for new and junior project members for project management practices and understanding.
• Manages and set standards for project teams consists of technical, application, business unit, project coordinators, project managers, and contractors to ensure high-quality delivery standards.
• Oversees adherence and compliances towards MAHB policies, governance, rules, and regulations by all stakeholders and contractors. Ensure that all PMO process and standards documents are updated and follows process based on MAHB policies.
• Identify projects which are potential to be delayed or at risk of having a cost over-run and drive team to take necessary action to avert the situation.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and effective coordination with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

Enforce strict schedule and budget controls across all initiatives. Assess and govern Change Requests (CRs) rigorously to prevent scope creep and keep delivery strictly within authorized CAPEX/OPEX baselines.

Establish robust pre-initiation frameworks and stakeholder alignment processes early on to eliminate requirements mismatch and minimize mid-project CRs.

Team Competency & Methodology Upskilling

Provide clear guidance and structured mentorship to executive and non-executive staff, embedding PMBOK best practices to uplift PMO governance standards and capability.

Manage critical inter-departmental dependencies across a high-volume IT portfolio, securing cross-functional IT commitments and resolving bottlenecks to ensure seamless end-to-end execution.

• Degree Certificate in preferably withspecialization in Computer Science / IT related discipline.
• Master degree would be an added advantage

Relevant Industries

• Degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Should have been involved in at least 5 or more Project management roles as Project manager.
• Project related trainings and certifications are an added key advantage.
• Should have a brief knowledge of PMI's PMBoK and its processes.
• Possession of Project Management certifications is considered an added advantage
• Should have been involved in at least 5 or more Project management roles, preferably as Project coordinator or Project manager.
• Sound knowledge in Airport systems and brief knowledge in Airport Operations.
