Job summary

IOI City Mall in Putrajaya is seeking a capable lead for the fit-out coordination team to ensure design layouts are realized on schedule. You will provide design input and coordinate technically for shop fit-out, raise requisitions, and liaise with base-building consultants, Leasing, Building Services, Security and Safety to ensure compliance and timely completion.

This role requires a degree in Architecture or Interior Design and at least five years in retail fit-out, with strong communication,

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Architecture or Interior Design with at least 5 years experience in retail fit-out and design.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management abilities.
• Flexible and analytical in a problem-solving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of fit-out coordinators to realize design layouts in a timely fashion, in close liaison with contractors and consultants.
• Provide design input and technical coordination for shop fit-out.
• Raise requisitions and liaise with Project Department on base building work.
• Coordinate with base building consultants on technical issues.
• Monitor overall progress of tenancy fit-out and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Inspect and certify completion and address rectification in collaboration with Leasing and Building Services.

Job description

To lead a team of fit-out coordinators in ensuring the design layout is realized in a timely fashion, in close liaison with contractors and consultants.

Pre-Fit Out / Construction Stage

To provide design and creative input and technical coordination for shop fit-out.

To raise requisitions and liaise with the Project Department on base building work.

To liaise with base building consultants pertaining to technical issues.

To make recommendations to the Tenancy Approving Board regard to fit out works.

Fit Out / Construction Stage

To monitor the overall progress of work for the tenancy fit-out.

To liaise and coordinate with Leasing, Building Services, Security and Safety Department with regard to fit-out works.

To monitor fit-out works and ensure contractors comply with approved design and address any technical issues that may arise.

Post Fit Out / Construction Stage

To carry out inspection before opening of shops with Leasing, Safety and Building Services Department upon completion of fit out works and certify compliance.

To supervise rectification works in close liaison with contractors and Leasing, Safety and Building Services Department in the event of non-compliance.

Special Project

To head specific project work as assigned by the management within the Company.

Requirements

Minimum Degree in Architecture or Interior Design or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in retail fit-out and design.

Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Must display professionalism and confidence

Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
