DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales Manager for Independent Pharmacy to lead a high-performing team and drive growth across the channel in Malaysia. You will build trade partnerships, coach field teams, and develop market-driven sales strategies.
In this field-based role, you will focus on in-market execution, distributor and retailer engagement, and delivering sustainable revenue while shaping trade programs and ensuring strong POSM deployment.
As a Sales Manager, Independent Pharmacy, you play a pivotal role in driving DKSH's commercial performance within the Independent Pharmacy channel by combining deep market understanding with disciplined business planning and execution excellence. This role is integral to building strong trade partnerships, developing a high-performing sales team, and delivering consistent and sustainable business growth.
Drive monthly achievement of sales and non-sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the assigned sales team and territory, ensuring consistent delivery against commercial targets.
Ensure full compliance of the sales team's daily call process, including coverage, product detailing, and in-store execution standards.
Build strong business partnerships with key retailers and gather market insights to inform and sharpen sales strategy development.
Dedicate a minimum of 70% of time in-market for on-the-job coaching, strengthening field capability and elevating overall team performance.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop, execute, and manage effective trade programs that meet set objectives within approved trade spend.
Develop and monitor distribution programs to increase depth of distribution retail outlets and width of new retail outlet presence across the Independent Pharmacy channel.
Drive merchandising standards and ensure Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM) are optimally deployed to maximize product visibility and brand impact.
Identify relevant training and development programs to continuously enhance the effectiveness and performance of the sales team.
Provide monthly updates on competitive activities, competitor product launches, and key trade developments to support informed strategic decision-making.
Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.
Degree in any relevant field.
Minimum 10 years of working experience in a related field.
