Job summary

DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Field Sales Executive to supervise and coordinate sales teams, drive targets, and implement sales routes and calls to grow assigned territories.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Business Administration, Marketing studies, or a relevant educational background.
  • Minimum two to three years of sales or relevant experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry landscape, competitors, and customers.
  • Solid knowledge of assigned territories, products, and services, with strong selling skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in the local language and, ideally, English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate sales teams to achieve targets for assigned territories and overall business objectives.
  • Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets.
  • Prepare and implement sales action plans to achieve targets for assigned territories.
  • Track team progress against KPIs and provide feedback on execution and development.
  • Execute sales activities including product portfolios, marketing plan introductions, orders, and in-store merchandising.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and contracts to facilitate sales agreements.
  • Monitor competitors' activities and produce reports; suggest actions to counter competition.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecast sales/margins; highlight unusual demand changes.
  • Coordinate improvements to sales processes and customer satisfaction; track payments from customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues and advise on follow-up actions.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and respond to queries; solicit further orders.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery and relationship development with key customers.

  • Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
  • Prepare and implement sales action plans (e.g. plan sales routes, make regular calls/visits, etc.) to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories
  • Track team progress against key performance indicators and sales plans. Provide timely feedback to team members on the execution of sales action plans and development areas
  • Execute sales activities for assigned businesses/territories, including product portfolios and marketing plan introductions, order taking, marketing display set-ups and in-store merchandising
  • Prepare and/or review quotations, proposals and contracts to facilitate sales agreements
  • Monitor competitors' activities/products and produce competition reports based on merchandising data. Recommend practical actions to counter competition
  • Prepare sales reports and report projected sales/margin forecasts. Track and highlight unusual increases/decreases in customer demand
  • Coordinate continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc. Track and collect payments from customers
  • Investigate, resolve and log customer issues and advise on follow-up actions
  • Maintain relationships with customers, through managing and interpreting their requirements. Follow up with customers, respond to queries and solicit further orders
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products. Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers
  • Diploma or certification in Business Administration, Marketing studies, or a relevant educational background
  • Minimum two to three years of sales or relevant experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of the industry, market landscape, competitors, and customers
  • Solid knowledge of assigned territories, products, and services, with strong selling skillsStrong communication and negotiation skills
  • Basic research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
