Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, Chemistry, Agriculture or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical or international trading.
• Strong understanding of trading, pricing, and market analysis.
• Proven ability to develop new customers and profitable business.

Responsibilities

• Manage fertilizer trading, sales and marketing activities to reach targets.
• Develop new customers and markets while maintaining key relationships.
• Monitor global fertilizer markets, pricing trends, and competition.
• Negotiate pricing, volumes, payment terms, and contracts.
• Coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics for deal execution.
• Lead and coach the trading/sales team to meet KPIs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Manager – Fertilizer Trading to lead the sales and trading of petrochemical products. The role is responsible for managing customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, monitoring commodity market trends, and driving sustainable sales growth with manufacturers and industrial end-users.

The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial acumen, sound knowledge of petrochemical or commodity trading, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage and execute fertilizer trading, sales and marketing activities to achieve targeted sales volume, revenue and profitability.
• Develop new customers, markets and business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and key industry stakeholders.
• Monitor global and regional fertilizer markets, including pricing trends, supply-demand movements, competitor activities and market developments.
• Conduct commercial negotiations on pricing, volumes, payment terms and contractual conditions with customers and suppliers.
• Manage the execution and performance of sales and purchase contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed commercial terms and international trading practices.
• Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure smooth deal execution, shipment coordination, credit control and timely collection.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market intelligence, trading analysis and performance reports to support management decision-making.
• Monitor sales performance, margins and profitability and recommend corrective or contingency actions when required.
• Represent the Company at relevant industry conferences, exhibitions, customer meetings and networking events.
• Maintain accurate customer, opportunity and market information in the CRM system.
• Lead, coach and monitor the trading/sales team to achieve agreed KPIs and business objectives.
• Develop team capabilities and identify potential successors to support business continuity.
• Perform other ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, Chemistry, Agriculture or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, commodity or international trading.
• Strong understanding of trading, pricing, commercial negotiation and market analysis.

• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
