Job summary

Sime Darby Holdings Berhad is seeking a senior corporate finance professional to support investments, M&A and mobility initiatives across the Group. The role involves financial analysis, due diligence, and coordinating transaction execution with internal stakeholders and external advisers.

You will monitor the mobility investment portfolio, identify optimisation opportunities and contribute to governance reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• CFA or professional accounting qualification would be an added advantage.
• At least 8–10 years’ relevant experience in corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, investments and/or corporate development.
• Strong financial analysis, valuation and financial modelling skills.
• Good commercial judgement, project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Group’s corporate finance activities including evaluation and execution of investments, M&A, divestments and mobility initiatives.
• Coordinate due diligence and assist in transaction structuring, negotiation and execution.
• Prepare investment proposals, management papers and board-level presentations.
• Monitor mobility investments and manage relationships with portfolio companies and partners.
• Provide regular updates on transactions, mobility initiatives and portfolio performance, ensuring governance compliance.

Role and responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the Group’s corporate finance activities and mobility initiatives, including evaluation and execution of investments, M&A, divestments and undertake mobility initiatives, as well as monitoring and managing the existing mobility investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Finance

• Evaluate and support M&A, divestments, investments and other corporate finance transactions.
• Conduct financial analysis, valuation, financial modelling and assessment of investment returns.
• Coordinate due diligence and support transaction structuring, negotiation and execution.
• Prepare investment proposals, management papers and presentations for Management and Board approvals.
• Work closely with business divisions, internal stakeholders and external advisers throughout the transaction process.

Mobility Support and project manage strategic mobility initiatives across the Group.

• Monitor the performance of existing mobility investments and portfolio companies.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimise, restructure or exit existing investments where appropriate.
• Manage relationships with portfolio companies, strategic partners and other mobility ecosystem stakeholders.

Reporting & Governance

• Prepare regular updates and analysis on corporate finance transactions, mobility initiatives and portfolio performance.
• Ensure transactions and investments comply with the Group’s governance and approval requirements.
