Job summary

DaVita seeks a senior business development leader to expand its presence in Malaysia. You will create and implement a development plan, identify opportunities, build relationships with partners and government officials, and drive deal negotiations to close transactions.

You will report to regional executives, manage the development process from prospecting to LOI and final agreements, and travel up to 60% to advance opportunities across Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years business development experience required.
  • Experience in healthcare (hospitals or kidney dialysis) preferred.
  • Development experience in Malaysia required.
  • Experience with government and/or public agencies preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of Joint Venture and acquisition transaction processes preferred.
  • Experience working in MNCs preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a development plan for assigned territory.
  • Identify white space opportunities.
  • Further increase DaVita’s presence in existing markets.
  • Prioritize development opportunities and manage them accordingly.
  • Regularly report to region executives on progress related to the development plan.
  • Utilize pipeline reports and deal process tracking tools.
  • Manage all aspects of the development process including but not limited to target identification, prospecting, relationship management, and contract negotiations.
  • Work closely with potential partners through the deal process, from initial discussions to letter of intent to final agreements.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of DaVita’s service offering, value proposition and competitor activity to secure new business.
  • Improve knowledge of DaVita’s brand and service offerings in the assigned region.
  • Build relationships with government officials, healthcare executives and physicians in the region to promote DaVita’s capabilities.
  • Meet or exceed established goals.
  • Analyze, develop, and implement new ways for DaVita to differentiate itself in the marketplace.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
Seven (7) years business development experience
Experience working in MNCs preferred
Development experience in Malaysia required

Job description

This position leads DaVita’s business development in Malaysia. The position is responsible for increasing DaVita’s presence and brand in Malaysia through the creation and implementation of a development plan. This position identifies, builds and maintains relationships with potential partners or other groups or individuals that impact the business. This position will support the deal process and participate in deal negotiations to ensure the timely completion of transactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
