Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the complete production process for home furnishing products.
• Gain practical knowledge of production processes, workstations, machines and production flow.
• Assist the Production Manager/Supervisor in managing daily production activities.
• Monitor production activities to ensure the daily production plan is followed.
• Assist in achieving daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
• Monitor production output and productivity at each production section.
• Identify production delays, bottlenecks and operational problems.
• Assist in planning and allocating manpower according to production requirements.
• Monitor manpower attendance and availability within the production area.
• Prepare and update production performance reports.

Job description

The Management Trainee – Production is responsible for undergoing structured practical training in the Company's production operations with the objective of developing the knowledge, skills and leadership capabilities required to manage production activities in a home furnishing manufacturing environment. The trainee will gain hands-on exposure to production processes, manpower management, production planning, productivity, work methods, production efficiency and daily factory operations. The position is intended to develop the employee into a future Production Executive, Production Supervisor, Assistant Production Manager or Production Manager.

Key responsibilities

Learn and understand the complete production process for home furnishing products

Gain practical knowledge of production processes, workstations, machines and production flow

Assist the Production Manager/Supervisor in managing daily production activities

Monitor production activities to ensure the daily production plan is followed

Assist in achieving daily, weekly and monthly production targets

Monitor production output and productivity at each production section

Identify production delays, bottlenecks and operational problems

Assist in planning and allocating manpower according to production requirements

Monitor manpower attendance and availability within the production area

Prepare and update production performance reports

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile, Production Management, Business Management or related field

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Candidates with manufacturing or production experience will be an advantage

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is preferred

Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Leadership potential and ability to communicate with production operators

Problem-solving skills and decision-making ability

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Proactive and responsible with strong sense of ownership

Willing to work on the production floor and willing to work overtime when required by production needs
