Job summary

Carousell Malaysia is seeking a talented social media professional to own the end-to-end social media and content strategy. You will plan, create, and run the presence across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, building a content engine that drives engagement and demand for Malaysia.

You will collaborate with the Malaysia lead on growth initiatives and partnerships, bringing a strong sense of what good content looks like and a willingness to build this from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for social media and content creation.
• Proven ability to create content and manage social channels with examples.
• Strong sense of good content and strategy, able to work independently.
• Familiarity with basic content tools (CapCut, Canva) and short-form video editing.

Responsibilities

• Own and run Carousell Mobile Malaysia's social media across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
• Plan and execute a content calendar aligned to promotions, launches, and seasonal moments.
• Create and/or direct short-form video, photo, and copy content that reflects the brand and drives engagement.
• Build and own the social media strategy for Malaysia, matching Carousell Group's Singapore and Indonesia teams.
• Stay on top of platform trends and adapt content formats (Reels, TikTok trends, emerging formats).
• Track content and channel performance and use data to improve.
