Job summary

Carousell Group in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Social Media & Content Lead for Carousell Mobile Malaysia. You will own our social media across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, planning and creating content that drives engagement and demand, and align with promotions and launches.

Qualifications

• Genuinely passionate about social media and content; this cannot be learned on the job.
• Proven experience creating content and/or running social media channels with real examples of work.
• Strong sense of good content and social strategy; able to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Comfortable with CapCut, Canva, or similar, and shooting/editing short-form video.

Responsibilities

• Own and run Carousell Mobile Malaysia's social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
• Plan and execute a content calendar aligned to business priorities (promotions, launches, seasonal moments).
• Create and/or direct short-form video, photo, and copy content reflecting the brand and driving engagement.
• Build and own the social media strategy for Malaysia, matching Carousell Group's Singapore and Indonesia teams.
• Stay on top of platform trends and adapt content format quickly (Reels, TikTok trends, emerging formats).
• Track content and channel performance (engagement, reach, follower growth, content-driven leads) and use data to improve.
