Job summary

JLL in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support end-to-end payroll processing for Malaysia operations. You will ensure accurate salary calculations, manage inputs from hires to terminations, and maintain compliant payroll records under Malaysian statutory requirements.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of payroll experience, proficiency with MS Excel, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication. Knowledge of Workday or SAP HRIS is a plus, with on-site work in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience in Malaysia.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
• Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Excel (intermediate to advanced).
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for Malaysia employees with accurate salary calculations, deductions, allowances and benefits.
• Manage payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, leaves and overtime.
• Verify and validate payroll data before processing for accuracy and compliance.
• Process off-cycle payments, bonuses and ad-hoc payments as required.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation; ensure statutory contributions and reports are timely.
• Provide guidance on payroll policies and respond to employee inquiries.
