Job summary

Shopee is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Automated Sorting Machine at Bukit Raja Selatan. You will monitor and maintain automated equipment, respond to breakdowns, and assist with installations and commissioning.

You will repair mechanical components, read schematics, and maintain service history while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Training and teamwork with engineers are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering or related field with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems experience.
• Experience in PLC and controlling systems.
• Strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts (e.g. conveyor belt, roller, bearing).
• Knowledge in Warehouse Controlling Systems / WMS integration.
• Able to read and utilise mechanical and electrical schematics to troubleshoot components.
• Good knowledge of Material Flow Control software.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is an advantage.
• Able to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment.

• Monitor day-to-day machine operation and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Attend to breakdowns and maintenance requests promptly.
• Install and commission new equipment and scheduled maintenance per checklist.
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts and equipment as required.
• Maintain records of machine service history and downtime.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as directed by the engineer.
• Assist Lead Engineers to review SOPs and maintenance programs.

Job Description :

Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenances to ensure smooth business operation

Attend to breakdown & maintenance complaints promptly

Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment and scheduled maintenance works according to the checklist at designated areas / sites

Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machine where required

Maintain proper record of machines & machine service history

Perform ad hoc or other jobs as assigned by the engineer

Assist Lead Engineers to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintenance program

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems

Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controlling system

Have strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts e.g. Conveyor belt, roller, barring etc.

Have knowledge in Warehouse Controlling Systems / Integration solutions with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components

Good in Material Flow Control software

Experience in a warehouse environment would be an added advantage

Able to multitask, prioritize workloads and work in a dynamic environment
