SIGLENT TECHNOLOGIES (M) SDN.BHD. is seeking a capable electronics technician in Penang to inspect, repair, commission and analyze defective PCBA boards and finished electronic products.

You will maintain tools, assist engineers with failure feedback, read complex schematics, and follow ISO9001 safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Read complex circuit schematics and PCB layouts.
• Ability to analyze and diagnose faults including short/open circuits and component damage.
• Skilled in soldering/desoldering with hand tools and BGA rework.
• Familiar with ISO9001 and safety operation standards.

• Conduct inspection, repair, commissioning and failure analysis for defective PCBA circuit boards, finished electronic products or production equipment.
• Complete maintenance data reports, assist engineers in analyzing and feeding back components with high failure rates or design defects.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of tools and instruments in the repair area.

Candidates who can speak Chinese are preferred. Conduct inspection, repair, commissioning and failure analysis for defective PCBA circuit boards, finished electronic products or production equipment.

About you

Technical secondary school, college degree or above

Able to read complex circuit schematics and PCB layouts; familiar with operating characteristics of various electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, triodes, MOSFETs, integrated ICs, etc.)

Possess sound capability for circuit fault analysis and diagnosis; accurately locate and resolve issues including short circuit, open circuit, leakage and component damage

Proficient in soldering and desoldering techniques using soldering iron, hot air gun, BGA rework station, with skilled and standardized manual component soldering

Skilled in operating common testing and commissioning instruments, including multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator and regulated power supply

1-3 years or above experience in electronic products, SMT/PCBA repair or home appliance maintenance

Basic understanding of electronic product manufacturing processes, quality management system (e.g. ISO9001) and safety operation specifications
