Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an Electronic PCB Repair Technician (Component-Level) to join our hands-on engineering team. The role focuses on component-level debugging and repair of multi-layer PCBs, requiring the ability to read schematics and datasheets to diagnose faults.
You will work with oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESR meters, and logic analyzers, performing precision micro-soldering (SMT, BGA, THT), refurbishing and testing boards, and documenting repair actions and failure trends
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronic PCB Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess strong component-level debugging capabilities and hands-on experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair on multi-layer PCBs.
Diagnose root causes of circuit failures using oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESR meters, and logic analyzers.
Read and interpret schematic diagrams, circuit layouts, and technical datasheets.
Execute precision micro-soldering, including the removal and replacement of surface-mount technologies (SMT), ball grid arrays (BGA), and through-hole (THT) components.
Refurbish, test, and validate repaired boards to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
Document repair actions, failure trends, and component parts used.
Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline. Extensive hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Minimum 1–3 years of proven experience in component-level electronics repair.
Proficient with hot air rework stations, fine-tip soldering irons, and diagnostic testing equipment.
Strong analytical mindset, excellent eyesight and hand-eye coordination for handling micro-components, and ability to work independently.
