Job summary

GANGYAO TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Kulai, Johor, seeks an equipment maintenance technician to perform installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics, and improvements to keep factory operations running smoothly.

You will work with electrical and mechanical systems, maintain records and reports, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and support urgent maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may be considered.
• Electrical competency certification / Wireman Certificate is an added advantage.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred to facilitate communication with colleagues and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth factory operations.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and operating procedures.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular equipment inspections to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Assist with equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and improvement projects.
• Maintain proper maintenance records, inspection reports, and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and suppliers when required for maintenance and technical support.
• Provide technical support and suggestions to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications and strong learning ability may be considered.

Experience in electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance will be an added advantage.

Experience with stamping equipment, spraying/coating equipment, or other manufacturing equipment will be an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of equipment troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and problem-solving.

Familiar with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

Electrical competency certification / Wireman Certificate is an added advantage.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong execution skills with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet assigned deadlines.

Willing to work overtime, on-call support, or support urgent maintenance activities when required.
