Job summary

The Prestige Hotel is seeking a maintenance technician to handle routine upkeep of premium facilities, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. The role involves responding to guest and staff requests, performing inspections and coordinating with contractors when needed.

Fresh graduates are welcome. A Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or related field is preferred. The position offers monthly bonuses, holidays, leave and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections of hotel facilities.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and building maintenance.
• Ability to respond to maintenance requests promptly and troubleshoot efficiently.
• Experience with preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Ability to work safely and in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of hotel facilities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff and resolve issues efficiently.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to extend lifespans of building systems.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures and furnishings throughout the hotel.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.
• Coordinate with external contractors when specialised repairs are required.
• Monitor energy usage and suggest efficiency improvements.

Job description

Perform routine maintenance and inspections of hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently

Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of building systems and equipment

Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and furnishings throughout the hotel

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs and inspections

Assist in coordinating with external contractors and vendors when specialised repairs are required

Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards

Monitor energy consumption and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Perform general cleaning and minor renovations as needed to maintain the hotel's appearance

Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or a related field.

Knowledge of electrical systems, air conditioning, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items, work at heights, and perform demanding physical tasks

Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
