Job summary

EASTERN PLASTIC INDUSTRIES SDN BHD is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on extrusion lines and related equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults, respond quickly to breakdowns, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

The role involves assisting with installations and improvements to enhance machine reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Technical certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
• Experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment is desired
• Able to read electrical/mechanical schematics and manuals
• Strong adherence to safety procedures and company policies

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on extrusion lines, mixers, compressors, chillers, and auxiliary equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Inspect equipment regularly and report abnormalities or potential failures
• Maintain maintenance records, spare parts usage, and repair reports
• Assist with installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment
• Keep tools, workshop, and maintenance areas clean and organized
• Support production teams in improving machine reliability and efficiency
• Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the supervisor
