Job summary

HQPack Sdn Bhd in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on machines such as digital cutters, air compressors, and heat sealers, and to document activities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime, and liaise with suppliers.

Strong English and Bahasa communication required, with a Diploma or engineering certification.

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in mechanical or electrical or electromechanical repairs/maintenance.
• Diploma or industry-recognized certification in Engineering.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical machines.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, design drawings and specifications.
• Willing to learn new skills on own initiative and multitask.
• Safety-minded with knowledge of manufacturing safety practices.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office knowledge; good English and Bahasa communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, perform and document periodic preventive maintenance on machineries and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery, equipment and facilities used in the company.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly PM or repair summary reports.
• Establish and monitor spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
• Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program to address potential failures.
• Maintain organized inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Liaise with machine suppliers on troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and schedules.
• Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety guidelines; address hazards promptly.
• Support ad-hoc or emergency tasks as directed by Operations Manager.

Job description

Scheduling, performing and documenting periodically preventive maintenance for machineries and equipments ( digital cutter, air compressor,heat sealer, etc)

Troubleshooting and repairing machinery, equipment and facilities use in the company

Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly PM or repair summary reports for review

Establishing and monitoring the machine spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime

Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program to proactively address potential equipment failures, extend equipment life, and maintain optimal performance.

Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs, ensuring their availability when needed.

To liaise with the machine supplier on the troubleshooting and repairing activities

Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety guidelines and regulations. Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by ensuring that policies and safety procedures are followed.

To be able to support on any ad-hoc or emergency task that may be assigned by Operation Manager and management from time to time

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of verifiable working experience in mechanical or electrical or electromechanical repairs/maintenance

Candidate must have at least Diploma or industry-recognized certification in Engineering

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for electrical & mechanical machines and tools

Ability to read and understand the wiring diagrams, design drawing and specifications

Willing to learn new skills on own initiative and multitasking

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality maintenance services.

Must be safety-minded. Previous safety training in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage

Basic computer and Microsoft office knowledge is a must & Good English & Bahasa communication skills
