Job summary

Network Foods in Shah Alam is seeking a Maintenance Services Technician to handle installation, maintenance and repair of factory equipment and utilities. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, HVAC service, piping and water systems as well as fire protection and other facility services.

Candidate should have a relevant Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering and 1–2 years of related experience, with Bahasa Malaysia and English language skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or advanced diploma in engineering fields (Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronic).
• 1–2 years of related working experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in Shah Alam Section 16 and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of factory equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure smooth daily operation.
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) according to schedule and record activities.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including split units, AHUs, chillers, and ventilation fans.
• Clean air filters, coils, and drain lines; check refrigerant levels and ensure temperature/humidity compliance.
• Install, maintain, and repair water pipelines, supply/drainage, and pump systems; check for leaks.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of factory equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure smooth daily operation (related to the service section).
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) according to the schedule and record all maintenance activities in logbooks or maintenance systems.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, including split units, AHUs, chillers, and ventilation fans.
• Clean air filters, coils, and drain lines; check refrigerant levels; and ensure temperature and humidity compliance in production areas.
• Install, maintain, and repair water pipeline systems, including supply, drainage, and pump systems; check for leaks, blockages, and corrosion.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain chiller units, cooling towers, and chilled water systems; record temperature, pressure, and performance readings daily.
• Perform inspection and maintenance of BOMBA (fire protection) systems, including fire hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, hose reels, and extinguishers.
• Maintain and service other utility systems such as compressed air, dryer, and water systems.
• Comply with all safety and health procedures, e.g., wearing the provided PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the maintenance workshop and work areas.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, equipment abnormalities, and accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Complete maintenance checklists, PM forms, and service reports accurately after each job.
• Support emergency repair works and production shutdown maintenance as required.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the Maintenance Engineer or department representative (Engineering & Maintenance Department).
• Experience in handling the IETS plant will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
• Preferably 1-2 years of related working experience
• Positive working attitude and able to work overtime
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Section 16 - Shah Alam
