Job summary

Century Chemical Works in Penang seeks a maintenance technician to perform daily tasks such as greasing, forklift cleaning, welding, oxy-cutting and bearing replacement. The role supports our maintenance routines to keep equipment running safely.

You will contribute to Quality, Environmental, Food Safety and Occupational Safety objectives, participate in 5S housekeeping, waste management and emergency response activities as part of the Maintenance Section.

Responsibilities

• Carries out daily maintenance and repair work e.g. greasing, cleaning of forklift, welding, oxy- cutting, replacing bearing etc.
• Implements action plans to ensure that the Quality, Environmental, Food Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Objectives, Targets and Programs are achievable;
• Implements the risks control action plans within the Maintenance Section.
• Implements, observes and monitors Hazard Control Plan, Product Defense Plan, Product Fraud Mitigation Plan, PRP and OPRPs.
• Participates in 5R and Waste Management inclusive of disposal of scheduled waste and recycling or recovery programs.
• Carries out proper 5S House-keeping in the Maintenance Section and post maintenance activities.
• Participates in action to reduce the consequences of the emergency situation, appropriate to the magnitude of the emergency or incident and the potential food safety impact, and at the same time, to mitigate its adverse effects on human, environment, climate change, carbon footprint, sustainable development etc.
• Carries out other works as instructed by immediate superior and those with vested authority.
