We are looking for a hands-on, responsible and proactive Maintenance cum Factory Resource Technician to join our manufacturing team.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys troubleshooting machinery, carrying out maintenance work, solving equipment problems and supporting daily factory operations.
You will play an important role in maintaining the reliability and availability of our production equipment, reducing downtime and ensuring the factory operates safely and efficiently.
Carry out preventive maintenance, routine inspection and servicing of production machinery, equipment and factory facilities.
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Troubleshoot machinery and equipment problems and carry out necessary corrective actions.
Assist in identifying the root causes of equipment breakdowns and prevent recurring problems.
Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns and provide timely technical support to the Production team.
Assist engineers or supervisors in equipment maintenance, repair and improvement activities.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when specialized repair or maintenance is required.
Monitor and manage spare parts, maintenance materials, tools, consumables and other factory resources.
Check and maintain adequate stock levels of commonly used spare parts and maintenance materials.
Assist the Procurement team in identifying and requesting required spare parts, tools and maintenance materials.
Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained and available when required.
Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts usage and equipment servicing.
Identify and report opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce breakdowns.
Assist in machine modification, installation, repair and improvement projects.
Support continuous improvement activities related to machinery, equipment and factory facilities.
Follow and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures and work instructions.
Provide technical support to Production and other departments when required.
Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment and factory facilities.
Identify and report potential safety hazards and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are kept in a safe and proper condition.
Support and follow company requirements related to workplace safety, housekeeping and maintenance standards.
Provide basic guidance to operators on the proper care and safe operation of machinery and equipment.
Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related technical field.
1–3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant technical qualifications are welcome to apply.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and maintenance principles.
Experience in troubleshooting machinery and equipment will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, sensors, pneumatic systems and mechanical components will be an advantage.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on, hardworking and willing to learn.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to respond effectively to urgent equipment breakdowns.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willing to work in a manufacturing/factory environment.
