Job summary

Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) is seeking a Maintenance Executive (A4 Chargeman) on a contract basis to attend to facility complaints and coordinate maintenance across our high-rise buildings. The role involves supervising maintenance staff and contractors, and reporting equipment status.

The ideal candidate holds a Professional A4 chargeman Certificate with at least 5 years in building management, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Professional A4 chargeman Certificate is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in high rise commercial buildings or building management.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Attend to all complaints regarding building facilities and arrange resolutions.
• Schedule and delegate maintenance work to staff for timely, quality results.
• Conduct daily inspections and periodic maintenance as scheduled.
• Manage common area and facilities maintenance in coordination with Building Manager and contractors.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on equipment status and maintenance checklists.
• Supervise in-house maintenance staff and contractors in routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to development and implementation of facilities management goals and policies.
• Liaise with authorities and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handle contract tendering including sourcing quotations and negotiations.

To attend to all complaints regarding building facilities and make necessary arrangement to resolve them.

Schedule and delegate work to maintenance staff to ensure timely/ efficient completion and quality results.

to conduct daily inspections and periodic maintenance as schedule.

to handle all aspect of management and maintenance of the common area and facilities are carried out accordingly

Write daily, weekly and monthly report with equipment status and check list and scheduling of equipment maintenance work.

To supervise works undertaken by in-house maintenance staff (with Building Manager) and contractor in their routine maintenance and trouble shooting.

To participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, priorities, with regard to facilities management related activities.

Liaise with relevant authorities and vendors to ensure compliance with the regulations at all times.

to handle contract tender including sourcing for quotation, negotiation on terms and cost and submit for management approval

Any ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Candidate must possess at least a Professional A4 chargeman Certificate

Minimum 5 years working experience in high rise commercial building or building management

Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia

Applicants should be Malaysian citizens

Good computer knowledge – Microsoft Office applications

Technical knowledge or estate management skills will be an added advantage.
