Lanai Casuarina Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee hotel equipment, machinery and assets. You will plan regular maintenance, supervise staff, and ensure vendors perform monthly services on time.
You will also manage stock, repair equipment, and address defects across guest rooms and facilities. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a supervisory maintenance role and holds relevant higher secondary to degree qualifications, with electrical certifications preferred.
This role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment, machinery, and assets. You will prepare schedules for regular maintenance services, monitor staff in carrying out assigned tasks and projects, and ensure vendors perform monthly services according to correct procedures and on time. You will be responsible for ordering and managing stock and materials for service work, repairs, and daily use, while ensuring all physical aspects of the property are well-maintained and in good working order.
Key responsibilities
Prepare a schedule of regular maintenance service
Monitor staff in carrying out tasks and projects given
Monitor and ensure vendors perform monthly service according to correct procedure and on time
Order and manage expenditure of stock and material for use in service work, repairs and daily use
Repair faulty equipment, fix plumbing leaks, resolve electrical problems, replace worn-out components, and attend to maintenance needs in guest rooms, common areas, and facilities
Oversee maintenance of all hotel equipment, machinery, and assets by conducting regular inspections, scheduling maintenance activities and coordinating repairs or replacements
Communicate regularly with Sales, kitchen, and front office departments regarding system use, equipment maintenance, and guest complaints
Ensure damage and room defects are well repaired and facilities are in good working order
Conduct on-job-training to keep employees up to date with current practice and trend
Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance, and act fast to resolve emergency issues
About you
Must possess at least Higher Secondary/SPM/STPM/Diploma/Degree related to the field
Possessed Electrical chargeman Certifications (BO, A4, A1 or AO)
Professional Certifications are preferred
At least 5 years of working experience in the related field and 3 years in supervisory role
Able to work in rotation shifts, on call and during weekends and public holidays
6 working days with 1 day off
