Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to design, implement, and manage robust maintenance strategies for client equipment, machinery, and facilities. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving OEE, and ensuring safety compliance through predictive planning and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities include developing preventive and predictive programs, optimizing performance data, redesigning systems for efficiency, and leading a team of technicians and contractors

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
• Ability to use data-driven approaches to solve equipment issues.
• Proven track record leading technical teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills for shutdowns and upgrades.
• Clear reporting of technical data to management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Redesign machinery or processes to improve efficiency using new technologies.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues; oversee planned shutdowns.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and tool control.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Maintain maintenance logs, equipment histories, and compliance reports.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and lines.
