Job summary

QL Livestock Farming Sdn Bhd seeks a Maintenance Engineer to conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, machines and electrical systems, perform repairs, troubleshooting, cleaning and preventive maintenance on a defined schedule.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and a CePIETSO-PCP certificate. Experience in industrial effluent treatment is an added advantage, with strong problem-solving skills and computer literacy to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Certificate CePIETSO-PCP (Physical Chemical Processes).
• 1 year experience in industrial effluent treatment is an added advantage.
• Computer literate with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-call and coordinate with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, machines and electrical systems.
• Perform repair, troubleshooting, cleaning and preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Monitor performance of machines and processes to improve efficiency.
• Assist on-call issues and resolve problems as they arise.
• Coordinate with contractors, update schedules and ensure work completion per plan.
• Maintain availability of tools and materials and ensure a safe work environment.

Job description

Conduct routine inspections namely facilities, equipment, machines, and electrical systems.

Perform repair, troubleshooting, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities according to a defined schedule.

Monitor the performance of machines, equipment, and processes; make recommendations, initiatives, and solutions to improve efficiency.

Ready to assist and resolve problems/issues whenever there is an on-call.

Work closely with the contractor, follow through and update schedule, and assist whenever required to ensure contract work is completed as per schedule.

Ensure availability of tools and materials, anticipating requirements and reordering.

Ensure the work environment is safe by following prescribed guidelines.

Update and maintain records for traceability.

Requirements:

Possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Possess a certificate in the Operation of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (Physical Chemical Processes)-CePIETSO-PCP.

1 year of experience in industrial effluent treatment shall be an added advantage.

Computer literate, strong problem-solving skills.
