Job summary

QL Foods Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee daily maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure safety and reliability across our manufacturing operations in Malaysia. You will support corrective actions to minimize downtime and collaborate on JKKP inspections and environmental reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/HVAC and at least 2 years of maintenance experience, with fresh graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Air conditioning / HVAC or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of proven working experience as a Maintenance Engineer.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Must be willing to work in Hutan Melintang, Perak.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily maintenance activities and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Assist in repairs, routine checks and ensure safety in all maintenance tasks.
• Identify deviations and support corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with safety officers on JKKP inspections and maintain relevant documentation.
• Monitor environmental data and report to authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee SCADA system reliability and data accuracy for decision making.
• Coordinate technical team schedules and allocate resources for efficiency.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing maintenance documentation.

Job description

Work closely with maintenance team in carrying out daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting in repairs, performing routine checks, and ensuring all maintenance tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.

Assist in identifying deviations and support corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of taks.

Work with safety officers on JKKP yearly inspections by assisting in preparing, updating, and organizing relevant documentation, coordinating inspection schedules, and ensuring all safety compliance requirements are met.

To monitor, compile, and submit environmental data and reports to relevant authorities, such as the Energy Commission and DOE, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

To monitor the existing maintenance system such as SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) to ensure reliable system performance, minimal downtime, and accurate data for operational decision-making.

Assist in coordinating technical team work schedules by helping to organize daily tasks, tracking progress and supporting resource allocation to ensure maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and team performance is optimized.

To assist in internal and external audits by providing maintenance documentation and implementing corrective actions to ensure equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Air conditioning/HVAC or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of proven working experience as a Maintenance Engineer.
