Job summary

QL Foods Sdn Bhd, a leading surimi manufacturer in Malaysia, seeks a dynamic sales and marketing professional to drive growth in retail outlets and HoReCa channels. You will oversee promotional events, coordinate cross-functionally, and develop marketing plans to boost sales while maintaining strong retailer partnerships.

Ideal candidates bring FMCG experience, excellent communication, and ownership of transport.

• Experience in FMCG or food industry is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all sales and marketing activities in retail outlets and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Manage and monitor promotional events at outlets and ensure targets are met.
• Develop and implement marketing plans including promotional events to drive sales growth.
• Coordinate with sales, logistics, and transport to process orders and deliver promptly.
• Foster good business relationships with retailers and buyers on merchandising matters.

Responsible for all sales and marketing activities in retail outlets, maintaining strong and long-term customer relationships to ensure continuous business growth.

Manage and monitor promotional events at outlets to ensure smooth operations and achievement of promotional targets.

Develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional events, to drive positive sales growth for retail outlets.

Coordinate with sales, logistics, and transport departments to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered promptly.

Enhance the company’s image and foster good business relationships by cooperating with and providing support to retailers and buyers on merchandising matters.

Job Requirements

Working experience in FMCG or food industry is required.

Experience in servicing the retail or HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Café) industry will be an added advantage.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Must possess own transport.

We are an established manufacturer of surimi and surimi-based products in Malaysia. Since incorporated in 1994 as one of the subsidiaries of QL Resources Berhad, a company listed on the main board in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, we have successfully evolved to become the leading manufacturer and distributor of surimi in the Asian region. We are also proud to be the leading manufacturer of surimi-based products in the country today.

Accordingly, we are the first vertically integrated surimi manufacturer in Malaysia to successfully integrate the surimi production plant with its substantially automated downstream production line to simultaneously produce both surimi and surimi-based products. Today, all our existing operations are also being increasingly automated and continuously upgraded in line with modernization and operational efficiency.

Through a workforce of more than 1200 workers, we produce a wide variety of chilled and frozen surimi-based products of the highest quality. All these products are delicious, nutritious and naturally fresh as we focused on utilizing only fresh marine fish source in our productions.

Our products are marketed under various brand names such as "Mushroom, Suria and OceanRia" which incidentally are notable and very popular in the local as well as oversea markets. To meet the demands for fish snacks and crackers, we also market these products under the brand name "iKa's" for the local consumption.
