Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to perform daily routine inspections of factory equipment and machinery, spotting potential faults and reporting them to the Maintenance Technician for urgent action.

You will fix or repair faulty equipment, conduct planned preventive maintenance, supervise contractor work, liaise with suppliers for parts, and generate maintenance reports to ensure safety and continuity of operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance work in manufacturing or factory environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use basic hand tools.
• Excellent fault-finding and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine inspections of factory equipment and machinery.
• Identify faults and report to supervisor for action.
• Repair or replace faulty components as needed.
• Carry out periodic maintenance as planned.
• Prepare maintenance reports and document work performed.

• a) Perform daily routine inspections of the factory equipment and machinery, spotting potential faults and immediately reporting to the Maintenance Technician for issues that unsafe conditions.
• b) Fixing or repairing faulty equipment and machinery.
• c) Perform periodic service and maintenance as planned.
• d) Responsible for all maintenance job scopes.
• e) Report any breakdowns to superior and preventative action.
• f) Responding to machine breakdowns including diagnosing faults and liaising with contractors for repair arrangement.
• g) Assisting in monitoring and supervise all work performed by outside contractors is done properly.
• h) Follow up with supplier on machine / tooling parts.
• i) Liaise with contractors and vendors for installation, service, and repair work.
• j) Responsible for reporting all incidents immediately to prevent fatality or other major impact.
• k) Generate and update maintenance reports and filing of job-related documents.
