Job summary

GT-Max Construction is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to plan, coordinate and monitor all Mechanical & Electrical works at construction sites. You will review drawings, specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Additionally, you will supervise site progress for electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and ELV systems, coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and authorities on M&E matters.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
• Familiar with M&E systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at construction sites.
• Review M&E drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise site progress for electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, ELV systems, and other M&E services.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on M&E matters.
• Ensure all M&E works are executed according to approved drawings, method statements, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Prepare progress reports, site documentation, RFIs, work schedules, and material submissions.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower, and material requirements to ensure timely completion.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with local authority standards (TNB, BOMBA, JKR, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, etc.)
• Attend site meetings, project coordination meetings, and technical discussions.
• Support project handover, defect rectification, and maintenance coordination.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior or Head of Department (HOD) as needed.
