Job summary

Hotayi Electronic (M) Sdn Bhd (Hotayi Group) is seeking a site engineer to supervise daily activities and monitor progress of Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP works on site in Batu Kawan, Penang. You will review drawings and specs, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and ensure quality and schedule targets are met.

The role requires a diploma/degree in ME/EE/CE, 2–3 years of construction experience (fresh graduates welcome), and strong AutoCAD skills to interpret drawings and

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant construction experience (fresh graduates are encouraged).
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and related design software.
• Good coordination, communication, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure works meet drawings, specs, quality, safety and schedule.
• Monitor progress of Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP works.
• Coordinate MEP activities including HVAC/ACMV, plumbing, fire protection, HV/LV electrical, UPS, generators, ELV systems.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and subcontractors on site progress and technical matters.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and installation details.
• Coordinate MEP with Civil, Structural, and Architectural works to avoid clashes.
• Identify missing or omitted works reflected in drawings or BoQ.
• Prepare site reports, inspection records, progress updates and handover documents.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
• Resolve site and technical issues and support project team to meet quality and schedule targets.

Job description

Monitor progress of Civil, Structural, Architectural, and M&E works.

Coordinate M&E works including HVAC/ACMV, plumbing, fire protection, HV/LV electrical, UPS, generators, and ELV systems.

Liaise with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors on site progress and technical matters.

Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and installation details.

Coordinate M&E works with Civil, Structural, and Architectural works to ensure proper sequencing and avoid clashes.

Identify missing or omitted works not clearly reflected in drawings or BoQ.

Prepare site reports, inspection records, progress updates, and handover documents.

Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.

Resolve site and technical issues and support the project team in achieving quality and schedule targets.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Preferably with 2-3 years of relevant construction experience, experience in industrial or building projects is an advantage.

Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.

Good understanding of M&E/MEP systems and construction works.

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Proficient in AutoCAD.

Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Able to work independently and under pressure.
