Job summary

PY KONSEP PERUNDING SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced M&E Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical and electrical works on a major project.

You will supervise on-site activities, review drawings and method statements, and coordinate with contractors, clients, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure quality, safety and timely delivery. Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in engineering, construction or project supervision.
• Experience in dam, hydropower, hydroelectric or other major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Good understanding of M&E construction, installation, testing and commissioning works.
• Willing to be stationed/outstation at Upper Padas, Tenom, Sabah for the project duration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor M&E works at the project site to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, standards and requirements.
• Review and monitor M&E shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and inspection records.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress and quality of M&E works.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during construction and provide engineering recommendations.
• Ensure M&E works align with approved programme, contract requirements and safety standards.
• Prepare and review site reports, progress updates and inspection records.
• Attend site meetings and coordination discussions with contractors, client and consultants.
• Coordinate with Civil & Structural teams to integrate M&E works with overall project requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project/Resident Engineer.

Job description

Supervise and monitor Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at the project site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements. Coordinate and liaise with the Contractor, Client, Consultants and other project stakeholders on M&E-related matters.

Key responsibilities

Review and monitor M&E shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, inspection requests and technical documentation

Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the progress and quality of M&E works

Identify and resolve technical issues arising during construction and provide appropriate engineering recommendations

Ensure M&E works are carried out in accordance with the approved programme, contract requirements and relevant safety standards

Prepare and review site reports, progress updates, inspection records and other relevant project documentation

Attend site meetings, technical discussions and coordination meetings as required

Monitor testing, commissioning and handover activities for M&E systems

Coordinate closely with Civil & Structural teams to ensure proper integration of M&E works with overall project requirements

Perform other duties and responsibilities related to M&E supervision as assigned by the Project/Resident Engineer

About you

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related M&E Engineering discipline

Minimum 8 years of overall relevant working experience in engineering, construction or project supervision

Experience in dam, hydropower, hydroelectric or other major infrastructure projects will be highly advantageous

Strong knowledge of M&E construction, installation, testing and commissioning works

Experience in site supervision and coordination with contractors and project consultants

Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, method statements and technical documentation

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills

Willing to be stationed/outstation at Upper Padas, Tenom, Sabah for the duration of the project

Able to work independently and effectively in a project-site environment

Ability to converse in Mandarin will be an added advantage
