Job summary

Seri Yakin Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Engineer (M&E) to monitor and supervise mechanical and electrical construction works on-site in Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards, and project plans while coordinating with multiple trades.

The role requires 2+ years in infrastructure or building construction, familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM, and a detail-oriented approach to project management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other equivalent fields.
• At least 2 years of working experience in infrastructure or building construction, or related fields.
• Detail-oriented with good understanding of project management methodologies and engineering design principles.
• Ability to articulate and present ideas well and thoroughly.
• Familiar with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor the schedule and progress of M&E installation to ensure timely completion
• Develop project execution plans for M&E works
• Monitor and maintain the documentation of M&E work progress, drawing status, catalogues and sample approval status
• Prepare subprogrammes and weekly programmes of all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) trades
• Coordinate the day-to-day activities of M&E installation with other trades, before concreting and closure of ceiling boards
• Identify clashes among construction elements, and resolve the issues jointly with other trades and project stakeholders
• Coordinate and prepare services coordination drawings jointly with subcontractors and other disciplines
• Implement and conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with the specifications and standards
• Coordinate and supervise inspection, pre-testing of system works as well as final system test and commissioning works
• Monitor inspection schedules and complete inspection checklists

Education

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other equivalent fields

2+ years of experience in infrastructure or building construction

Detail-oriented with PM & engineering design understanding

Articulate and present ideas clearly
