Job summary

Gamuda Berhad is seeking a Quantity Surveyor - Contracts & Commercial to manage all costs and financial aspects of construction projects from feasibility to final account settlement. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze quotations, and contribute to value engineering for profitability.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, with professional QS membership desirable, and strong proficiency in CostX, Candy, CCS and Excel for financial modelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/mechanical eng, construction management, or related field.
• Professional certification (RICS/CIOB or local QS body) desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and lifecycle.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and advanced Excel for modeling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil/construction projects at various stages by analyzing drawings, specs, and scope.
• Obtain and analyze competitive quotations from suppliers/subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing; support tendering with cost breakdowns.
