Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA/QC lead for MEP projects. You will oversee QA/QC documentation, inspection procedures, and supplier quality control to ensure conformance with drawings and standards.

Responsibilities include material inspections, non-conformance investigations, and preparation of quality reports. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred for client communications, with a strong focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering/Construction Management.
• Experience: at least 3 years in MEP or process piping.
• Skills: interpret precast drawings and strong problem solving with cost awareness.
• Soft skills: able to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Language: basic English and Mandarin; proficiency in Mandarin preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Own QA/QC for the project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests and non-conformance reports.
• Prepare and manage QA/QC documents, site instructions, observations and delivery records.
• Instruct and supervise inspectors for incoming materials and pre-delivery checks against drawings and standards.
• Sample product quality at each process stage and recommend improvements.
• Strictly control supplier quality; provide timely feedback on unqualified issues.
• Investigate quality accidents, propose improvements, and implement assessment processes.
• Investigate non-conforming products, disposal, customer complaints, and site disputes.
• Monitor implementation of quality processing results and report on quality risks.
• Assist in technical product design to meet QA requirements.

Job description

• Accountable for the quality and quality of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to M&E interfacing the multidisciplinary processes.
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
• Instruct and supervise the inspector to perform incoming raw material inspection, analyze the abnormalities found in the same time.
• Supervise the inspector to check and record the quality of pre-delivery process according to the drawings and related inspection standards.
• Sampling the product quality of each process in factory and suggesting a way to improve it.
• Strict quality control shall be performed on the suppliers which is selected by procurement department, and timely feedback and summarize the unqualified problems detected.
• Analyze and deal with quality accidents, propose improvement measures, and strictly implement the quality accident assessment system.
• Responsible for the investigation and analysis of non-conforming product assessment, disposal, customer complaints, and site quality disputes.
• Responsible for checking the implementation of quality processing results.
• To handle quality accidents and involve in the investigation of quality issues such as quality objections and returns.
• Prepare annual, monthly and weekly quality statistical reports, product quality improvement report, quality management and other work reports, discover, handle and solve various quality risks.
• Participate in the technical design of the product in order to ensure that it meets the requirements of quality assurance.
• Any other duties and responsibilities that assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirement:

• Education Background：Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Construction Management.
• Working Experience：At least 3 years of relevant experience in MEP/Process Piping.
• Professional Knowledge and Skills : Able to interpret precast drawings. Good problem-solving skills. Cost awareness.
• Others ：Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking. Willing learn and grow with us. Positive working attitude.
• Basic English and Mandarin communication and writing skills are preferred. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
