Job summary

Sunway Construction Group Berhad is seeking an experienced MEP QA/QC professional to lead quality assurance and control across MEP installations on a Johor project.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years in MEP QA/QC within construction, strong knowledge of ISO 9001, and the ability to coordinate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in MEP QA/QC roles in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and QA/QC practices.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting MEP drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the MEP QA/QC plan for the project.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct inspections and tests on MEP installations.
• Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor and report on the progress and quality of MEP works.
• Ensure QA/QC documentation, including ITPs and NCRs, is maintained.
• Lead internal and external audits related to MEP systems.
• Provide training and guidance to site engineers and supervisors on quality standards.

Job description

• Develop and implement the MEP Quality Assurance and Quality Control plan for the project.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct inspections and tests on MEP installations.
• Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor and report on the progress and quality of MEP works.
• Ensure that all MEP works are executed in accordance with approved method statements and ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans).
• Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions.
• Lead internal and external audits related to MEP systems.
• Provide training and guidance to site engineers and supervisors on quality standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, international standards and client requirements.

Qualifications
