Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION YANGTZE RIVER (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to oversee production quality, inspect materials, and drive improvements across multiple projects in Malaysia.

You will work with inspectors to ensure conformance to drawings and standards, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. Applicants should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, at least 3 years in MEP, and the ability to interpret

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in MEP.
• Able to interpret precast drawings.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia.
• Basic English and Mandarin communication and writing preferred; Mandarin proficiency desired.

Responsibilities

• Control the quality of production processes according to quality systems and requirements.
• Record data and analyze root causes of problems.
• Instruct and supervise inspectors for incoming raw material inspection.
• Manage documents and drawings within scope of duties.
• Supervise checks of pre-delivery quality against drawings and standards.
• Sample product quality at each process stage and suggest improvements.
• Perform strict quality control on suppliers and provide feedback on issues.
• Analyze and handle quality accidents and implement improvement measures.
• Investigate non-conforming product assessments, disposal, and customer complaints.
• Prepare quality reports and statistics on a regular basis.

Job description

A quality control role responsible for managing and controlling the quality of production processes, conducting inspections, analyzing quality issues, and implementing improvements across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

Control the quality of production processes according to quality systems and relevant requirements, recording data and analyzing root causes of problems

Instruct and supervise inspectors to perform incoming raw material inspection and analyze abnormalities

Manage documents and drawings within the scope of duties

Supervise inspectors to check and record the quality of pre-delivery processes according to drawings and inspection standards

Sample product quality at each process stage and suggest improvements

Perform strict quality control on suppliers selected by the procurement department and provide timely feedback on unqualified problems

Analyze and deal with quality accidents, propose improvement measures, and implement the quality accident assessment system

Investigate and analyze non-conforming product assessment, disposal, customer complaints, and site quality disputes

Check the implementation of quality processing results

Prepare annual, monthly and weekly quality statistical reports, product quality improvement reports, and quality management reports

About you

Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management

At least 3 years of relevant experience in MEP

Able to interpret precast drawings

Good problem-solving skills

Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking

Willing to travel in Malaysia

Positive working attitude
